Event Overview

This session opens the 2026 Tax Update series with an overview of the current federal tax landscape. We'll cover new and proposed tax legislation — including any bills enacted during 2026 and proposals still moving through Congress — along with new and proposed IRS authority in the form of regulations, revenue rulings and procedures, notices, and announcements, with particular attention to the continuing rollout of guidance under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA / OB3). We'll also review recent tax-related court cases affecting companies and individuals and what they signal for exposure and planning positions. The session closes with a variety of year-end tax planning topics for businesses and individuals, along with critical updates surrounding year-end payroll reporting and Form 1099 filing requirements.
