NORTH DAKOTA— Children’s Advocacy Centers of North Dakota has been awarded $10,000 from the ninth annual Eide Bailly Resourcefullness Awards, which recognize nonprofit organizations for their creative and sustainable revenue generating initiatives across five states – North Dakota, Minnesota, Arizona, Colorado and Nevada.
Children’s Advocacy Centers of North Dakota’s award-winning program, Telehealth Outreach, provides children who have been sexually abused, physically abused, or neglected the opportunity to receive virtual counseling services, alleviating barriers that often prevent people from seeking or participating in the help they need. In addition to their telehealth services, Children’s Advocacy Center also has an iPad loan program, further ensuring they are able to reach the victimized youth who are in need of their services, regardless of their situation.
To ensure fairness, independent judges who are well-respected in the nonprofit community reviewed and scored finalists. Those North Dakota judges were:
- Kari Knudson, Vice President, BSC College Advancement & Executive Director, BSC Foundation
- Michelle Killoran, CFO/VP of Finance, Scheels
- Jeff Pederson, President and CEO, The Village Family Service Center
