Event Overview
Our four-part webinar series provides foundational training for state and local government finance professionals across governmental accounting, budgeting, accounting operations, and financial management.
This training will begin with a focus on the efficient execution of routine monthly tasks, including bank reconciliations and other month-end or quarter-end close activities. Presenters will then walk through the year-end close process and provide tips and tricks for efficient and timely execution of related tasks and development of a comprehensive year-end close checklist. The second half of the training will focus on the ACFR preparation process, with an emphasis on elements of the ACFR prepared by management when the financial statements are prepared by the auditor including ensuring that note disclosures are current and updating and improving the content of Management’s Discussion and Analysis. The training will conclude with helpful insights into effectively preparing for the annual audit and how to best manage the audit process while it is underway.
