Partner/Accounting Methods and Periods Practice Leader

Andrea B. Mouw

I enjoy working with a wide range of people and clients across the firm as well as the challenge of helping clients navigate complex tax situations. I work with them to identify solutions that are both technically correct and practical.

OVERVIEW

Andrea has more than 13 years of experience providing tax consulting and advisory services to a wide range of clients. Her primary area of focus is accounting methods including income and expense recognition, inventory, capitalization and cost recovery. She also assists clients in filing accounting method change requests (Form 3115) and advises on a number of issues related to the TCJA including section 163(j), section 168(k) and small taxpayer accounting method opportunities as well as issues related to virtual currency and debt instruments and modifications.

When you work with Andrea, you get a no-nonsense partner who will provide straightforward explanations of the tax rules and their application to you and your organization. She takes the time to get to know each client and understand their unique situation in order to provide accurate, helpful solutions that draw upon our full depth of resources.

When she's not in the office, Andrea loves long, relaxed weekend brunches and spending time with friends and family. She also enjoys getting glitzed up and going out for an evening at the opera. On nights in, it's board games and movies ... and probably sweat pants.
