What to Expect
If you’re wondering who to contact with questions, what you should bring on your first day, or how you should dress – you’re not alone. Below you’ll find everything you need to know about your Eide Bailly internship.
Key Contacts
Campus Recruiter: the recruiter who helped you during the recruitment process is available to answer any questions you may have before you start your internship.
Office Administrator (OA): your office administrator will email you prior to your start date with specific details including start time, office location, parking instructions, documents to bring, and other helpful information.
Your First Day
On your first day, you’ll:
- Log into all Eide Bailly systems
- Get a tour of the office (if in person) and meet the team
- Go through training with your OA
- Go through firmwide technology training
To ensure your first day is a success, you’ll want to bring:
- Documents proving U.S. citizenship or ability to work in the U.S. (your OA will email you a list of acceptable forms of documentation)
- A water bottle
- An office appropriate, business casual sweater or sweatshirt (see more on dress code below)
- Your favorite pair of earbuds (we’ll supply you with a headset, but you’re welcome to use your personal earbuds for online trainings and virtual meetings)
Your First Couple of Weeks
Here’s what to expect throughout the first couple of weeks.
Week 1
During your first week, you’ll:
- Meet your team
- Complete required trainings in our online Learning Center
- Review firm policies, procedures, and software programs
- Get an introduction to your role as an intern
Week 2
During your second week, you’ll either complete the firmwide intern and associate training, Advantage Level 1, or additional trainings in your local office or online.
Not all intern positions require the Advantage Level 1 training. Your OA will notify you before the start of your internship if you will be required to complete Advantage Level 1 training (see below for more information about this training).

Advantage Level 1 Training
If you’re required to complete Advantage Level 1 training, your OA will reach out to you before your first day to provide all the information you need to prepare for the training including mileage reimbursement (if driving) or flight information (if flying), hotel accommodations, and time and expense coding for meals, etc.
Tips:
- Make sure you get enough sleep
- Keep yourself hydrated
- Utilize the wellness apps available to you once you start (Calm and Wellable)
- Dress comfortably in business casual attire (nice jeans are okay)
