Through four specialized sessions, our 2026 Critical Access Hospital series will provide a deep look into the current challenges and opportunities in rural healthcare.

Joy Krush

Joy Krush, Director, Revenue Cycle | Eide Bailly
Joy has more than 30 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle. Previous to Eide Bailly, she worked in a healthcare facility in health information with emphasis on coding, denial management, compliance, documentation improvement and chargemaster. For the past ten years with Eide Bailly, Joy has worked with clients on coding and clinical documentation reviews, charge capture, revenue cycle processes, and chargemaster reviews with implementation.


Rachel Pugliano

Rachel Pugliano, Director, Revenue Cycle | Eide Bailly
Rachel has more than 25 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle. Rachel assists clients with the improvement of their revenue cycle functions as well as maintaining compliance with government regulations. Rachel’s specific expertise is in the mid-cycle of the revenue cycle which would include coding, documentation improvement and charge capture. Rachel assesses the overall health and capabilities of an organization’s revenue cycle function as well as develops compliance and improvement strategies for both hospitals and medical group practices. She provides internal coding compliance and charge capture assistance to improve coding and charge accuracy.


Traci Rabine

Traci has more than 20 years of experience in healthcare leadership, construction management, clinic and hospital operations and revenue cycle. She spent most of her career as a Vice President at a hospital and multi-specialty clinic. She is passionate about helping organizations succeed through implementing and managing efficient processes, strategy, growth, and engaging and involving staff.


Jared Heim

Jared Heim, Partner | Eide Bailly
Jared leads Eide Bailly’s Strategic Financing practice, which includes overseeing all financial forecasts, debt capacity studies, market demand analysis, and other financial proforma work. He also leads and supervises financial audits and reviews Medicare, Medicaid, and other third-party reimbursement reports for hospitals and senior living organizations.


Gretchin Heckenlively

Gretchin Heckenlively has over 28 years of experience in healthcare, both in public accounting and as the Chief Financial Officer of a hospital. Gretchin primarily focuses on Medicare and Medicaid provider enrollment, Medicare provider-based issues, licensure and reimbursement, serving clients of all sizes and markets across the United States. She has given many presentations on a wide range of healthcare topics and serves as one of the primary speakers at the National Medicare Provider Enrollment Compliance Conference held annually. She currently serves on the CMS Central Office PECOS Focus Group and recently completed a three-year board appointment as the Public Member of the National Association of Medical Staff Services.


TeAnna L. Strickland

TeAnna L. Strickland, Director | Eide Bailly
TeAnna joined Eide Bailly in 2016 and has worked exclusively in the Medicare/Medicaid provider enrollment area since that time. She assists clients of all sizes from large physician group practices located in nearly all 50 states to smaller critical access hospitals. Her 17 years of experience in healthcare from a frontline worker to a Medicare Government Contractor allows her to identify with clients unique needs to provide workable solutions.


Joseph D. Wagman

Joseph D. Wagman, Manager | Eide Bailly
After completion of law school in 2016, Joe joined Eide Bailly’s Medicare/Medicaid provider enrollment area with a desire to work with clients on compliance related issues. His clients span across the United States, with special emphasis in home health and hospice providers, as well as hospitals, critical access hospital and large physician group practices. Joe has been instrumental in developing sound, compliant solutions in working with clients in the areas of licensure, CLIA, DEA, enrollment, billing, provider-based and other related areas.


Scott Braun

Scott Braun, Partner | Eide Bailly
Scott brings over 25 years of specialized experience in healthcare finance, Medicare compliance, and cost reporting, including 14 years with a Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC). He formerly served as Vice President of the Provider Audit, Reimbursement, and Recoupment Divisions for CMS Jurisdictions E and F, where he oversaw regulatory compliance and reimbursement integrity for a broad portfolio of providers.

He has a deep and practical understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party reimbursement methodologies, and has led the preparation and review of cost reports for hospitals, critical access hospitals (CAHs), rural health clinics (RHCs), and nursing facilities. He also provides strategic wage index reviews and appeals support, helping providers optimize average hourly wage rates to enhance reimbursement.


Ryan Ashland

Ryan Ashland, Director | Eide Bailly
Ryan Ashland is a Director at Eide Bailly and a trusted financial partner to healthcare organizations, bringing a strong blend of public accounting and private industry experience. As a Certified Public Accountant with multiple specialized healthcare finance credentials, Ryan focuses on delivering timely, accurate and relevant financial insights that support effective decision-making and strengthen financial performance. He works closely with clients to understand their financial and operational landscape, ensuring reimbursement strategies and reporting are optimized for accuracy, compliance, and proper reimbursement.

Ryan’s experience includes Medicare cost reporting and complex reimbursement matters, where he has helped a wide range of healthcare providers secure appropriate funding, including geographic reclassifications, volume adjustments and other key payment opportunities. He has also led finance department consolidations, ERP system conversions and revenue cycle initiatives that improved efficiency without disrupting net revenue. Known for his collaborative and responsive approach, Ryan serves as a trusted advisor to finance and operational leaders. Outside of work, he enjoys time at his cabin “Up North,” outdoor activities, local sports and giving back through community volunteer efforts.


Marty Dubas

Marty Dubas, Partner | Eide Bailly
Marty has been in public accounting since 1993. He is an audit partner with experience in the healthcare, government, and nonprofit industries providing audit, accounting, and consulting services. Marty specializes in providing services for healthcare organizations including multiple organizational systems, stand-alone facilities, critical access hospitals, rural health clinics, CCRCs, and related foundations. He also provides extensive consulting related to Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement services including preparation, review, negotiation and settlements of cost reports, financial forecasting, debt financing offerings and internal control reviews.
