FARGO – Ross Manson, principal at Eide Bailly LLP, a regional certified public accounting and business advisory firm, has been named chief innovation officer. Before accepting this position, Manson served as the partner-in-charge of the firm’s Fargo office. Fargo Partner Chad Flanagan has now assumed the partner-in-charge role.
Manson is the firm’s first chief innovation officer.

We felt the time was right to invest in a resource that helps us permeate interruption in accounting,” said Eide Bailly Managing Partner/CEO Dave Stende. “Innovation is important to us because it helps our clients and the firm stay relevant, raises the quality of our services, connects the best ideas and helps us be ready for the future.”
Manson’s role will include fostering a culture of innovation, increasing awareness of how business is dramatically changing, developing a digital strategy, internal process improvement and assessing new technology tools. The firm has several initiatives in place that focus on innovation, including a team that learns about block chain technology and how it affects businesses, and an internal idea-generating tool and social community called Idea Hub.
“Innovation does not equal one person. We have to enhance our culture of innovation—that’s when we see great things, when we’re all working together to be innovative,” Manson said. “I see my role as one part of the puzzle that will help us innovate.”
