Creator
A combination of Tableau Desktop and Tableau Prep, this solution allows you to create and publish content relevant to your data journey.
Unsure where to begin? Eide Bailly can serve as your organization’s Creator and help manage your data content.
Explorer
This option allows you to interact with and analyze published data sources from Creators in your web browser and create and share your own dashboards in permission-based role.
Viewer
View and interact with your dashboards through Tableau Online. This high-level executive overview will allow key leadership to see important data points for your organization.

For most organizations, you will have a handful of Creators, working hands-on with your data and building your reports and dashboards. Most users will fall under the Viewer level, which is great for key leaders and broader team members to see and review the final data visualizations to make strategic decisions and operate productively in their roles. Those users that need to interact with specific areas of your data will fall under the permission-based Explorer license.
