Whether on the baseball field, hiking a new trail or experiencing an outdoor adventure, I enjoy meeting new people and developing a tax solution that fits their situation. Working in Eide Bailly's international tax department gives me the opportunity to assist people from all over the globe and solve complex tax issues.
OVERVIEW
Aaron helps individuals and companies lower their tax rate, both in the U.S. and abroad. He also assists both businesses and individuals with determining and completing required tax filings. In addition, Aaron connects U.S. taxpayers to non-U.S. tax advisors in the HLB network affiliation, and works closely with such advisors to ensure effective tax planning and compliance.
Aaron listens to clients' needs and develops a practical and customized solution.
Outside of work, Aaron enjoys running, hiking mountains, snowboarding, mountain biking, volunteering, improving his Spanish.

KNOWLEDGE
Client Work
- Assisted non-U.S. owners of U.S. real property to reduce the required U.S. tax withholding upon sale of the real property and file the required U.S. tax disclosures. The reduced withholding increased the client's cash flow.
- Assisted a U.S. retail company in choosing the most tax efficient structure when expanding into Europe. The result was a reduced tax rate on worldwide income.
- Guided a U.S. corporation through the U.S. tax reform changes and developed a plan to reduce the impact on the company.
- Guided a U.S. company through the Canadian tax compliance requirements when the U.S. company sent employees to Canada. We eliminated the need to administer Canadian payroll tax for U.S. employees sent to Canada and eliminated the need for Canada withholding on payments to the U.S. company.
- Directed a U.S. citizen living abroad through the U.S. tax and filing complexities of owning a foreign trust and foreign real property and successfully liquidated the trust and eliminated costly advisors fees.
