I find great fulfillment in leading clients through their operational and productivity challenges. My goal is to assist clients in creating a vision of what they can accomplish and setting them up for success.

OVERVIEW

Laurie works with clients to identify opportunities to improve long-term financial performance in multiple areas including staffing, workflows, compliance, quality and process improvement, and MDS. She also assists organizations to meet regulatory standards and prepare for a successful survey. Laurie's clients are in a variety of health care settings including skilled nursing facilities, home health and hospice, rural health clinics, and acute care facilities, both urban and rural.

When you work with Laurie, you can expect her to use her knowledge and expertise to understand your situation, dig deep to recognize your organizations opportunities, and thoughtfully analyze how to help you to achieve your goals.

Outside of work, Laurie enjoys spending time with her family including husband and three boys. Football is their favorite past time, especially since her middle son played in college and her youngest is playing in high school. Walking and running is how she likes to prepare for the day.

  • More than 35 years of healthcare experience, including 20 years of leadership experience as a director of multiple acute care units such as intensive care, emergency department, medical/surgical and cardiopulmonary, and experience as vice president of patient care services in a licensed 144-bed hospital.
  • Clinical experience in long-term care, emergency, surgical, medical, pediatrics, cath lab and intensive care units.
  • Extensive experience in policy and procedure development, staffing analysis and staffing plans, survey readiness to meet requirements for regulatory agencies, and information technology with EMR development and clinical integration.
  • Facilitated successful Rural Health Clinic implementations with expertise in CMS Conditions for Certification.
  • Proficient in CMS requirements for swing bed, home health and long-term care. RAC-CT certified to assist clients to improve their understanding of the MDS process. Worked with LTC clients to identify solutions to increase reimbursement through documentation audit, workflow analysis and staff education.
