Partner-in-Charge of Tax-Exempt Organizations

Kim C. Hunwardsen

I have a passion for working with nonprofit organizations and ensuring they don't jeopardize their tax-exempt status. I truly enjoy helping my clients understand the benefits of their exempt status, the potential tax risks and how they can proactively address these issues.

Kim delivers tax services to healthcare providers and nonprofits, working closely with tax-exempt organizations to provide comprehensive tax consulting, planning and compliance expertise. She joined Eide Bailly in 2002 and guides clients through changes in tax reporting requirements and tax law. She assists nonprofits in formations of new entities, annual compliance requirements and all other tax-related issues.

When you work with Kim, you get a recognized leader who truly cares about the work your organization is doing. She provides practical advice and takes the time to help you understand your options when addressing the impact of the latest changes to tax law, compliance and reporting requirements.

Outside of the office, Kim gives back to her community by serving on the board of a local nonprofit organization and actively supporting other organizations associated with her children's activities. She loves to cook, read and spend time with family and friends at her cabin in northern Wisconsin.
