I have a passion for working with nonprofit organizations and ensuring they don't jeopardize their tax-exempt status. I truly enjoy helping my clients understand the benefits of their exempt status, the potential tax risks and how they can proactively address these issues.

OVERVIEW

Kim delivers tax services to healthcare providers and nonprofits, working closely with tax-exempt organizations to provide comprehensive tax consulting, planning and compliance expertise. She joined Eide Bailly in 2002 and guides clients through changes in tax reporting requirements and tax law. She assists nonprofits in formations of new entities, annual compliance requirements and all other tax-related issues.

When you work with Kim, you get a recognized leader who truly cares about the work your organization is doing. She provides practical advice and takes the time to help you understand your options when addressing the impact of the latest changes to tax law, compliance and reporting requirements.

Outside of the office, Kim gives back to her community by regularly volunteering with a group of friends at various nonprofit organizations. She loves to travel, bike , read and spend time with family and friends at her lake home in northern Wisconsin.

  • Consults on mergers and acquisitions, formation of tax-exempt entities, unrelated business income studies, compensation and benefits issues, IRS examinations, charitable giving and restructuring healthcare systems and community health needs assessments.
  • Performs unrelated business income studies to identify potential unrelated activities, develop positions for treatment as related and develop cost allocation methodologies.
  • Works with organizations to understand the impact of tax law changes and reporting changes and develop planning strategies to address the changes.
  • Member of Eide Bailly’s National Tax Office team and committed to helping clients stay informed about tax news, developments and trends.
