What is Section 199?

Are you getting the most out of your Section 199 domestic manufacturing deduction? Section 199 provides a permanent tax benefit based on a taxpayer’s income from a wide range of domestic production activities. What many taxpayers don’t realize is that these activities extend well beyond the scope of traditional manufacturing and include certain contract production, oil and gas production, software development, film production, and construction and engineering activities.
