In December 2023, the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) released a proposed rule for the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Program. The purpose of establishing these requirements is to foster greater accountability for sensitive information entrusted to defense contractors and subcontractors.
