GASB-87, Leases – One Last Look for Lessees

June 30th governments are trying to finalize implementing GASB Statement No. 87, Leases. At the same time, the GASB just issued GASB Statement No. 100, Omnibus 2022, which may change some decisions. Further, those governments with service concession arrangements, public-private or public-public partnerships or subscription-based information technology arrangements may have additional contracts they need to analyze to see if the contract is a lease. Hear the focus areas lessees need to tackle and how to prepare for the first audits of the leasing standard and what will be changing soon.
