As part of the CARES Act passed in March of 2020, at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, $175 Billion for healthcare providers under the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Provider Relief Fund (PRF).

Virtually all dentists who owned a practice received approximately 2% of their gross receipts and in addition those who applied for Phase 3 of the program in many cases received tens or even hundreds of thousands of dollars under this program.

Phase 4 has just rolled out also with $25.5 Billion for healthcare providers. For any dentist who received over $10,000 between July 1 - December 31 of 2020, they must report how they used this money they received between January 1 and March 31 of 2022.
