Cybersecurity and Fraud Prevention for Dentists

Join us for two hour-long presentations focusing on cybersecurity and fraud. During the first hour, we’ll focus on cybersecurity considerations for dental practices, and in the second hour, we'll discuss considerations to help prevent and detect fraud in your dental practice.

Eye of the Cyberstorm: Cybersecurity Considerations for Dental Practices
Cybersecurity is not so much a matter of tools or processes but rather the reflection of an organization's culture. Culture is a product of people and is driven top-down by leadership. This session will explore how dental practices can effectively promote a culture of security to better protect their people and organizations from cybersecurity threats. We’ll also review some foundational cybersecurity best practices you can implement.

Pulling the Cavity: Addressing Fraud in Dental Practices
This presentation provides an overview on how dental practices can help prevent and detect fraud within their practice. It will touch on items such as:

  • What are Internal Controls?
  • Preventive Internal Control Procedures
  • Detective Internal Control Procedures
  • Dentrix and Eagle Soft Options to Assist with preventing/detecting fraud
  • What can be done if fraud is detected?

The presentation is intended to provide the attendee with specific areas to prevent/detect fraud happening in their dental practice.
