Tax Update Course Description
This all-day session will review key federal and state tax developments over the last year and tax planning strategies that have emerged in the post-TCJA landscape. Discussion will include key changes enacted in 2017 as well as new requirements and recent developments.

Learning Objectives:

  • Review key changes enacted in 2017.
  • Determine how they work with and replace prior law.
  • Discuss tax planning strategies to deal with and take advantage of the new law.
  • Identify new state tax requirements emerging in the wake of the Wayfair decision.
  • Review the important Iowa tax law changes emerging in the last two years.
  • Discuss important IRS and court developments over the past year.
