Eide Bailly Governmental Accounting and Auditing Update Conference and Webcast
Join us for the reformatted Eide Bailly, LLP governmental accounting and auditing conference. For the first time, segments of the conference will be webcast live to other Eide Bailly offices nationwide, allowing for interaction with on-site governmental team members and peers. Registration must be in advance.

The conference will include the latest updates from the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB), including what you need to know to implement new GASB standards for 2019 and beyond. Topics include, but are not limited to the latest information on Debt Disclosure and Direct Borrowing, Fiduciary Activities, Leases and the GASB’s projects on Conduit Debt Obligations, the Financial Reporting Model Project and Subscription-Based Information Technology Arrangements.

  • Discuss the new GASB standards and their effect on your government
  • Review key aspects of the new Government Auditing Standards (the Yellow Book) for non-auditors
  • Define Performance Auditing – what is it and how it can make your government better
  • Discuss what happens when an auditor becomes involved with exempt offering documents (debt issuance) and what it means
  • Identify strategies for preventing fraud

Eric is a nationally recognized speaker, author, thought leader and auditor with a wealth of government client experience. He brings a unique perspective to the firm’s clients as a former Deputy Comptroller of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, a chief financial officer of a state agency and an audit partner with clients ranging from a well-known stadium to statewide pension systems.

The online webcast allows you to attend the sessions remotely, in real-time, allowing travel expense savings.  Offices may choose to insert special topics of local interest for one or more of the segments.  Remote attendees will be able to interact with presenters through the on-line system and with local team members and peers.  CPE credit will be given to online attendees, provided that polling questions / keywords be answered and submitted for CPE credit.  The webcasts will be archived for retrieval, but not awarded CPE credit.
