Sales Tax Compliance- How the SCOTUS Decision Impacts Out-of-State Sellers

This Event will be held as a Webinar and also LIVE in our Fargo office

Course Description:

State and local tax rules are continuously changing – making it difficult for businesses to stay in compliance and up-to-date on changes affecting their tax liability and responsibilities. Additionally, the recent ruling from the Supreme Court will impact many out-of-state sellers including internet retailers. This session will cover what you need to know regarding various state and local tax rules and discuss how the new SCOTUS ruling will require businesses with customers outside their home states to immediately review their sales tax collection practices.

Learning Objectives:

 - Review important recent tax law changes, including the Wayfair Supreme Court ruling
 - Outline how aggressive state expansions of sales tax collection requirements create filing requirements and risks for businesses working across state lines
 - Define nexus and discuss its impacts
