There are a lot of things that need to be considered when transitioning your business, such as management, ownership, and entity structure, so it's important to have a succession plan in place well before you need to implement it. Chad Flanagan, CPA, ABV, Partner
Chad works with clients to facilitate succession plans, and specializes in valuing intangible assets, including technology, patents and contractual agreements. He performs countless business valuation services for estate and gift tax purposes, litigation, and purchasing and selling businesses. Chad also helps with strategic and succession planning for a variety of clients, including professional service companies, manufacturers, distribution companies, equipment dealers and health care providers.

Derek Dockendorf, CPA, Manager
Derek has more than nine years of public accounting experience providing tax and consulting services to individuals and closely held businesses, with a focus and emphasis on succession and strategic planning, estate planning, and wealth preservation. He works with clients in a number of industries including manufacturers, financial institutions and oil and gas. Derek also works with clients on issues related to transfer tax and income tax planning.

David Casper, CPA, State and Local Tax Senior Associate
David has more than 17 years of experience with agricultural equipment dealerships, and has provided sales tax support to over 100 retail locations in 11 states. He provides tax advice to clients and has experience facilitating the completion of sales tax returns in excess of $3 million. David is also experienced in creating and delivering workshops related to State and Local Tax (SALT) issues, and has lead internal audit proceedings from start to finish, including protest letters and final payment.
