Situation
Inefficient processes and procedures prohibited the management of an ag processor from receiving timely, accurate financial and operational data to manage their day-to-day operations effectively and profitably. In addition, tracking and reporting software were severely under-utilized, incorrectly set up, and continually circumvented.
Solution
Eide Bailly reviewed, documented and charted the current operating procedures of the client's receiving, shipping, purchasing, order entry and production processes. We prepared observation and recommendation narrative for each and developed a formal policy and procedure for each area to assist the client's staff with implementation and accountability.
